Moscow United Methodist Church

Almost daily our lives are filled with experiences of disappointment with others. In a world where respect and integrity are fading, how can we continue to love and honor people, especially those who treat us unfairly? The Scripture gives us the answer in I John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.” God reaches out to us and offers us conditional love. With HIs unending love in our hearts, we can freely give away love.
Although there are many stories in the Bible which illustrate unconditional love, I chose the story of Ruth to share. Ruth gave up everything for her mother-in-law Naomi. She kept her faith in God even though Naomi’s faith grew bitter and angry. Read her story in the short Old Testament book of Ruth. Pay close attention to Ruth 4:16-17 to see how God overwhelmingly blessed ALL of us through Ruth’s faith.
It’s a privilege to be invited to return to Moscow Methodist Church. I look forward to sharing with this lovely group of believers in the farming community of Moscow, Kansas. Located on Highway 56 between Hugoton and Satanta. Moscow United Methodist Church is located at 300 Ransom Street in Moscow. Their services begin at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday.
